EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

Are you emotionally intelligent? 

If not. Are you giving yourself time to master emotional intelligence?

Why am I asking? You see, throughout my whole career I have noticed that EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE is the biggest obstacle for anyone who wants to get in better shape physically and mentally. It is easy to drop 10 + pounds in a few months but to be able to stay in this shape that is where EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE will play a damn big role.

And here in my article I want to help you to understand why it is such a big deal.

Being emotionally intelligent is having an ability to recognize, understand, and manage our own emotions.

It involves being aware of our own feelings, being able to regulate our emotions.

Emotional intelligence is important for building and maintaining healthy relationships, making sound decisions, and effectively managing stress and conflicts. It can be developed and improved through self-reflection, self-awareness, and practicing emotional regulation skills.

You may be going to the gym 3 times a week and keeping it consistent. Also choosing better options with food but once something emotional happens you straight away slip out of track getting all over the place 🫠
 

  • You grab something from the closest take aways

 

  • You didn’t exercise for more than a month as you tired and don’t have time but eventually few hours you are scrolling on social media potentially comparing yourself to others and punishing yourself later that your don’t look, don’t feel as them etc.


Sounds like you? Hey, don’t worry. I’ve been there too!

But fuck this shit! Right? I’m sure you agree now 🙌

Here’s the thing. Remember this. If you put yourself at the back of priority list, what will change? Will you resolve the problem better? No. All what will change is that you will feel miserable.

Once you feel miserable, huge chance that you even won’t be able to resolve the problem in a way you potentially could.

When something emotional happens:

  1. First thing you need to do is to go for a walk and breathe.

  2. Secondly if you don’t have time to cook you go to the restaurant and order well balanced meal (FAT CARBS PROTEIN).

  3. Take notebook and write down what happened, Now write down what the worst outcome may happen? Now, write down what is the worst outcome of the previous worst outcome? Done? Amazing. I want you to continue 5 more times. At the end you will see nothing as tragic as you thought. You are still here breathing. Now, write down what is in your power/ control to change what happened and caused you stress. Can you? Can you have power or control here? If yes, time to act if not, fuck it and move on to more important things which will bring value to you and your personal/ professional life.

  4. Once all above is done, grab the bag and jump for a workout. It doesn't have to be to heavy, it has to be with a strategy to meet your goals and make you stronger physically and mentally.



Start practicing this and one day you will be a completely new human being. Obstacles will always be on your way, you can't wish for them not to be as that is part of life but you can become emotionally intelligent and face every situation with a grace so it won't affect your physical or emotional well being as much.
